How to Draw Parking

Steps​

  1. Drafting

    1. Search and select parking section:
      1. Open the BuildNow plugin from the ribbon and select "Create Entities."
      2. In the search bar, type "Parking" and choose either the Polyline or Rectangle tool to create the entity.
    2. Draw Parking Polyline
      1. Use a closed polyline to draw the parking outline.
      2. Once the entity is created, a name label will automatically appear at the center of the entity.

  2. Marking

    1. Navigate to parking in Marking progress window:
      1. Navigate to Guided Marking => Marking Progress => Floor Plan => Parking.
    2. Mark Parking polylines:
      1. For the highlighted parking polyline, select the appropriate parking type (Visitor Parking or Total Parking).
      2. Click Save and Next Unmarked.
      3. Repeat this marking process for all the parking polylines in the plan.

Drawing Conventions​

  • Parking is of two types: TOTAL_PARKING and VISITOR_PARKING. TOTAL_PARKING represents the total parking, while VISITOR_PARKING represents parking designated for visitors.
  • Parking polylines should be drawn within the plot for plot-level parking and within the floor plan for floor-level parking.
  • The area designated for visitor parking should be drawn as a separate parking polyline within the total parking polyline and marked as VISITOR_PARKING.
  • Every parking floor plan should have a parking polyline outlining the built-up area of that floor.

Checkpoints​

  1. Ensure the correct parking type (Total Parking or Visitor Parking) is selected.
  2. Ensure that parking units are inside the parking outline.
